Alright so we're in college and I sent this girl a message asking her if she wanted to come hang out with us.
I know for a fact she went on facebook earlier but she hasn't messaged me back yet. If she didn't want to, she would've just messaged back "Sorry I'm busy those days" ASAP right? So whats up?
Girls, if you wanted to reject a guy's invite, would you do it sooner, or wait a bit longer?
she wouldn't necessarily answer back right away. She may figure if she just doesn't answer at all she's being nicer than telling you outright that she doesn't want to hang.
Reply:some girls just dont think much of it, god you need some time to think about whether or not you have time, and if its even worth going to.
its not even about rejecting the "GUY" its more about the "event" and how they would fit in that even. whether or not they know anyone there, if it sounds fun, or maybe they're having those weeks where they just got tired of clubbing or partying every week. and they just wanna relax.
when i think about events for me..im not sure about everyone else this is what i think of:
1)who do i know will go there? i dont wanna go by myself and end up alone the whole time
2) if im close to the person that sent the invite, i'll go. but sometimes i just feel like relaxing and not doing anything extreme.however, i will vary out the options. if they're close to me, i'll go for them and not necessarily about the event.
3)if i dont know the person that well, i will say no immediately because well, i dont owe him/her anything. i dont care much about them. 2) the event sounds whatever.
4)if i don't respond quickly it either means im not sure yet. kind of like...i'll see how the week goes.
Reply:She should have told you no as soon as possible - if she is planning on saying no. But, you know, "come hang out with us" is not really a specific invite that would need a specific response. And just because she went on Facebook does not mean that she took the time to check her inbox - she might have just done a status update from her phone or something.

She is probably either contemplating whether to go or not; or she is super nice and doesn't want to hurt your feelings by telling you "No"; Or lastly she has been giving hints all along and thinks you should know by now that she is not interested in hanging out with you. And anyone who uses the turn "thrown under the bus" doesn't deserve to be taken seriously, unless they are still friends with every single person they've ever been friends with.
