How to throw a birthday party and invite friends who dont get along?

i'm turning 17 in about 3 1/2 weeks and i want to have a party. the problem is that i have people i really want to invite, but some really dont get along with each other. like some might not come if i invite the others, but i want everyone there. how do i solve this problem?? i dont want to not have a party..

Well you can't please all the people all the time.


Be honest, tell your friends who you have invited. Explain to them you know of their dislike for one another but as your friend you would hope they could put these feelings aside for one night. That could even be their gift to you.


Explain that this party is important to you.


If they are the same age as you let's hope they'll show some maturity and do the right thing for your sake. People do not have to like one another to be civil and at age 17 it is about time you and your friends learnt that lesson.

Reply:Tell your friends that you hope they can get along for your sake as you like them all and think they could get along if they really tried. If you invite them and they get out of hand ask one to leave is about your only choice.
Reply:_ _ _ _ it. i have the same issue rite now. my 2 best friends can't stand eachother. i made a point to tell them that if they really dont want to see eachother then dont come. i dont understand why they cant ignore eachother. tell your friends that others they may not like are coming and if they dont like it then dont come. but tell them one thing for sure "would you rather miss out on my party, just to ignore some people, or have a kick*** time hanging with me??"

Reply:Invite them. It's their choice if they want to come or not. If they do be sure to tell them that you're not above pulling a gun and putting a cap in a few a**es if they don't behave.
Reply:just explain that you want all of them there and for your birthday your wish is for all of them to come and get along for the one night for you . if there really your friend they could do that. good luck thats a hard one for you
Reply:Shame on them! You're the birthday girl and it's YOUR day, you can do whatever you want, within reason, and they should respect that. Invite who you want and if they are your true friends then they will put their feelings aside for one day and come to your party. If they refuse to come because "She's" going to be there, then they aren't very good friends to you. Your true friends will show up no matter what and the losers that don't attend, well they will just lose out on all the fun.
