How do you invite friends to yahoo messenger who are not part of yahoo?

Simply open your messenger, and near the top, beneath the task bar [messenger, actions, contacts, help], it should say "More friends = more fun. Invite them." in a link. This will open a browser and take you to a Yahoo! page, which will help you send an invite to you friends to join Yahoo!.


Or, if you don't feel like doing that, you can simply add someone to your buddy list, by clicking the button with the + symbol on it along the top of the messenger, above the 'type a phone number' selection. This will give you the option to add buddies from a different email to you friends list.
