Should Obama invite the Cardinals to the White House instead?

Cardinals are pro-life. I doubt they are Socialists too! It wouldn't work out.
Should Obama invite the Cardinals to the White House instead?
The White House has a long tradition of inviting winning sports teams to come tour the house and have photo ops with the President. Over the years, there have been a lot of individual athletes that have chosen not to attend, for whatever reason.

The President should stay with inviting the winners, but he can always give kudos to the second place teams since that might help get some votes.

Since the Clinton years, the White House has expanded their photo ops to include almost every college sport championship team. And in olympic years they invite the metal winners as well.

They also have tours and photo ops for winners of spelling bees, teachers of the year, firemen and cops of the year, etc. We don't hear much about those photo ops, unless they happen to be local people, because the national media doesn't make them a big deal.
Reply:It all depends on whether he wants to or not. Its been tradition that the president invite the winning team of the super bowl over to the white house for a visit. Its up to Obama if he wants to stick with tradition or not. Generally you want to give the winning team a vote of confidence and show them that they did something worthy which was win the super bowl. Sure the Cardinals lost a close game, but the aim here is not to pity them. If he wants to invite them over he should do it, but not because of this whole quagmire with James Harrison. Harrison is just being immature, and the Cardinals should not be invited for that very reason.
Reply:No.

That's a privilege extended to champions and winners.

If Champions or Winners decline the gracious offer; it has nothing to do with class - it's their prerogative.

JH is a class act.

I respect his decision to pass on this opportunity and I completely relate to his reasons.

And I'm not a Steeler's fan...but the more coverage this gets - the more I like this Linebacker (Harrison).
Reply:No. I see your point, but the whole Steelers team should not be punished for the stupid behavior of one of their teammates. They won the Superbowl. They should get to go. They should be honored and and have a great time.
Reply:He might as well at least they may be grateful and show up. If I were him I would just blow off the whole sorry steeler team and their miscreant James Harrison who needs their kind sullying up the white houses lawn.
Reply:What he should do is stop spending my money and socializing the free market.

Enough Said!

Hook'em!!!
Reply:They didn't win and also he wanted the Steelers to win because Dan Rooney is Obama's steel mill working *****.
Reply:Yes he should ,because I'm sure "all" their players have the class to go!
Reply:If he gave a care, he would
